Shepherd's Pie

with pickles puree

Ingredients:


  • 1kg potatoes
  • 500g minced meat
  • 2 leek stalks
  • 1 onion
  • 1 egg
  • milk
  • butter
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 4 tablespoons of Camp's Pickles
  • grated cheese

Preparation:

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into large pieces. Let them boil until they are soft.
  2. Chop an onion and sauté it in the pan, and brown the minced meat. Season with pepper and salt. Remove the minced meat from the pan and place it in a baking dish.
  3. Wash the leek thoroughly and chop it into pieces. Sauté it briefly in the same pan as the minced meat and season well with pepper. The leek does not need to be cooked too long. Cover the minced meat in the baking dish with the leek.
  4. Drain the potatoes, add some milk, the egg and a bit of butter. Mash everything together well and then add 4 tablespoons of Camp's pickles. Mix it all together.
  5. Spread the pickle puree over the leeks, and afterwards sprinkle the puree with some grated cheese.
  6. Then heat the baking dish for about 20 minutes at 180°.
  7. Enjoy your meal!
